janky controls diminishes experience
I figured for $5 I’d give it a shot. The graphics are kind of cool and reminded me of some of the great Sierra games of old, like Hero’s/Space/Police Quest. However, this is an endless runner and not free exploration. If this game were free exploration I think it would be much more enjoyable! As an endless runner, the name of the game is avoid obstaclers and keep running, unfortunately, the game either fails to respond to controls, or goes the other way and is overly sensitive so you’ll find yourself repeatedly running into stuff that should be easily avoidable! Perhaps the Dev could give us an alternate control method, or the ability to fine tune the input, because the janky controls really kills the enjoyment of playing what could be a fun little runner. Also, you begin the game by choosing a weapon from your shed but so far I don’t see your choice having any impact whatsoever on gameplay, aside from visibly carrying that item. As is, I can’t recommend this title. My reply to Developers response: Yes. I’m set up for roomscale and using the exclamation markers for timing my movements. Most of the “Jankiness” I’m experiencing is during lateral movement. Looking forward to the control being smoothed out as The game has promise…
