Awesome concept, needs to be more/harder
I think I'm a perfect person to review this game. I call Oh Shape one of my favorite games so this was already right up my alley. And I also practice some martial arts, so this was really a no brainer for me to try. And no surprise, I liked it! There's a lot of potential here. That said, here are some minor concerns, and why I withhold one star to leave them room to improve (besides that the devs did not respond to my email :) ): 1) There's no height calibration, and even at 6' I can't reach most of the high arcs. 2) I liked the idea of multiple martial arts, but I didn't realize they would be only one level each. I thought there would be several levels per martial art. Needs more variety than just 10 levels, ideally at least 1,2,3-star per martial art. Some mechanics that must have been hard to program in, like the swords, are underused. 3) It's a little slow. I use my Quest for cardio, and even 3* didn't move my HR enough. It's also hard to connect to the full forms the instructors perform. Why not kill 2 birds with one stone and put more of the intermediate postures in as well? That will make us move faster and better. Drum beats could be faster also, and maybe more left and right to give us leg movements. (Shouldn't the big drum be purple?? Minor gripe lol.) Awesome in concept, just hope it tidies up a bit and expands a lot. As a programmer, I think these are all "easy" enough to fix. Getting the mechanics to work is hard. Adding more content is (relatively) easy. Good luck!
