Really fun and Polished!!

I was a little worried initially when I saw Little Witch Academia getting a game on the Oculus Quest fearing that the quality would go down due to the low hardware. But I'm quite surprised UNIVRS, Inc. was able to pull off with this game all with the big limitations of the Oculus Quest. Gameplay is simple and fun. You get to upgrade your broom or buy new ones to get better at Broom Racing. The music is calming and a delight to listen to. The characters look great and as charming as they are in the Anime. Add on top of that great voice acting and a fun story to experience. All in all this game is worth the money and a great experience. I look forward to the Multiplayer mode that is teased in the game, playing with my friends would be great.

Doesn't feel magical

While I love the anime series with all of my heart, you are better off waiting for a sale. Here's why: What I liked: - The English voice actors reprising their roles is incredibly welcome - Interacting with the characters is a charming sight. - The feeling of flying a broom across some of the magical landscapes from the anime is fan-servicey at best. - Level challenges and equipment buying provide replayability. - Some tracks have diverging paths, some less obvious than others. Plays into a risk vs reward as shorter routes have more danger. Kids and fans of the anime may get a kick out of the world and its charm, but as a game itself, it is rough around the edges. What I disliked: - Incredibly repetitive. - Lacking any sort of gameplay depth. - Only two power-ups (mainly to make yourself faster) and one attack debuff. - Encourages replayability, but doesn't have any cutscene skipping for any level. - Is only tailored for single-player since online multiplayer racing would be broken with the current mechanics. Online MP is only getting an exploration mode. - Some characters only have one level, so if you're looking to max their friendship, you have to replay their level nine more times. - Buying equipment can be cheesed, as I mainly waited for better gear to arrive in stock. - Final level requires beating it seven times with seven different characters. It ruins the pacing. - Only three ghost hunt levels and 10 racing levels. - Levels are mainly story-based, so there isn't a "free play" where you can customize difficulty, pick your own partner, and choose the tracks (ala. Mario Kart). - Controls are finnicky, as I have to physically swivel my entire body after making tight turns in some tracks. Broom turning sensitivity should be an option.

Game is lovely but no way to restart :-(

Played the game myself first and would now like to let my daughter play. But unlike other games- there's no way to create another user, or start from the beginning. This is very disappointing as it means that for a full price game, only one person can ever play it... She could of course chose the different levels, but everything I've done is already there and it's not the same when you are not building it up yourself. Disappointing

Pretty good!

This is an amazing game for people who love the series, it's super fun but there are a few minor inconveniences. For example: The characters' mouths don't move when they are talking on the broom, There are no male avatar options (However that is expected since Luna Nova is a school for witches, not wizards) , The graphics are quite low but I didn't mind it at all, There barely any people on the online play And finally, after you complete the game, it gets pretty boring. But i am still rating it 4 stars because it was really fun to play while doing the races with various characters from the series and the animation is really good!

Amazing!

I cannot begin to describe how good this title is! The 3D anime aesthetic is great, the visual novel-like dialogue is fully voiced (make sure to set voices to 🇯🇵 and subtitles to 🇬🇧 for best experience) and the flying itself is super fun! I thought free-moving VR games gave nausea, but apparently I was wrong, because this game gives me absolutely none. Leaving ★★★★★ because this is exactly the kind of official anime game I love to see! If I had to find a flaw, it would be the graphics that are a bit low-poly. I guess it's a limitation that comes with the platform, especially if they want to be compatible with Quest 1. But it doesn't detract from the gameplay at all.
