Hand tracking at its best

Hand tracking is so much fun especially when your using your brain the same time. Create shadows with your hands to rescue creatures. This is an amazing experience and one that has to be tried to fully understand how good it is. Moving around works really well and each puzzle is unique and has different ways to clear them. Good value for puzzle gamers

Silhouette had me nostalgic for old puzzle games like Lemmings. The handtracking adds a new wrinkle. This may have just been my experience, but I had issues with handtracking and using the finger gun with my right hand was problematic. Experienced puzzle gamers will breeze through this, like I did, in roughly three hours. For $10, it's tremendous value for a 3 VR experience. I've paid much more for much shorter. There is no storyline in this game, so if you want a story puzzler closer to Shadow Point or the I Expect You To Die games, skip this one. It's more along the lines of Puzzling Places or Kartoffl. The puzzle IS the game. My full review: https://youtu.be/DLEZjY5OBCQ

Use Caution

Okay, I like this game. The puzzles are fun, the design of the character is cute. The puzzles make sense: I can look it over, and usually I can figure it out. The problem comes in with the shadow controls. I'll be frank: Obviously this is a gimmick game. Use hand controls, solve puzzles. Cute. I like it. I frankly wanted more hand-control games for my Oculus, which is why I bought this one. Playing this game has single-handedly (pun intended) explained why there are so few hand-control games on the Oculus right now. When my hand isn't phasing through itself, it's freezing up for no reason. My hands can be in the same place, moving slowly so the character won't phase through my hand, and suddenly the game will not only assume I'm not moving, not ONLY assume that I've apparently turned into a statue, but will ALSO randomly assume that I'm no longer wanting to do the silhouette puzzle as it's MILES away from where I was just trying to solve it. The worst part is easily that the character will die if you squish it with your hand, meaning every time my hand phases out of reality by no fault of my own: Bam. Squished. Reset. Again. I was literally doing one puzzle on the most color-contrasting area of my normally-fine border, and it would. Not. Read. I started getting VCR lines across my left hand randomly. I'd like to sandwich with a reminder that this is NOT a bad game. The hand controls are it's biggest detriment, which is also the reason I bought it to begin with. Maybe when the Quest 3 comes out the hand-controls will be able to support a precision-puzzle such as this, but as of writing this, it might be better to save your money and play other puzzle-based games, or just sitting until there's a console that can actually work with it.

Ten shadow hands out of ten

I’m enjoying it a lot Pros: + “Portal” old school pleasant graphics style plus “Limbo” style characters and puzzles + “Shadowmatic” style puzzle gameplay, simple, catchy, a ton of mechanics + Amazing control solutions promoting hand tracking in the best way + Very calm peaceful ambient music and chill atmosphere. Enjoyable place to hide from the real life daily routine and save some money on analytics sessions. + Sitting mode with a lot of settings: height, portal activation timer (make it faster than 2aec by default for a smooth experience), sounds settings Cons: - I want mooooaaaar levels:) Buy it with no hesitation VR people:)

Imaginative

VR needs many more games like this. Imaginative ones. Games that can only exist in VR. For me, this game shows the potential of both VR as a medium and the reward we will all reap by having faith in it’s future. Meta is in for a glorious year! Quest 3 and beautiful games like this.
