Ignore negative comments

First off I want to say for how amazing this game is it’s crazy to see any hate. I did not play this when it first came out so maybe there were problems I didn’t encounter but for any negative review that actually didn’t have problems with bugs or glitching has to be lying to a degree. It has a bit of a slow start which is still enjoyable but once u get towards the end it’s so addicting. I really hope they make another one because this game blew my mind.

How is this game not more famous?

There are so many unfinished and unpolished experiences in the Meta store. What a treat was to find out about this game. The graphics, level of detail, immersion, mechanics and the campaign are all excellent so far. It’s hard for me to feel this much engaged with a VR game. Totally recommend it.

One of the few games I've completed!!!

What can I say about Townsmen? Oh boy. Just an amazing experience. It took me 20+ hours to finish the campaign (although I am very thorough and didn't just follow the missions linearly). I've seen comparisons to Deism but IT IS NOTHING LIKE DEISM, if you want to compare it to another game, Spacefolk City would be more apt. Anyway, a true VR experience unlike any other. You create towns from the ground up and manage your base, resources and armies. Some have mentioned that the game is repetitive but if you enjoy the challenge of having to adapt to new map structures and certain restrictions, this is for you. I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign and story and frickin love Sandbox mode. All my creativity and problem solving thinking is stretched in this game. Please give it a try. FOR DEVS: I hope you continue to add to the game or at least in this genre, this is just awesome and deserves DLCs, additional content and more mechanics. 10/10

Not a reviewer

Usually I don’t write reviews but I needed to for this game. Let me tell you this was sooo addictive. I loved every minute. It’s a strategic game with simple mechanics. It felt short but others have said 12+ hours of gameplay time. It reminded me so much of my childhood game ‘Ages of empire’. Please we need a Townsmen 2 or dlcs for this game. Worth it.

Scratch’s that itch!

I just want to say what a fantastic game. I grew playing games on my pc in the 90s and early 2000s and this game takes me back so fantastically. I read the reviews and figured I’d give it a shot. People are trying to compare it to a game and most people say age of empires, but for those who can remember this gem, it reminds me so much of black and white. Genuinely my favorite game in VR. Devs, please make a sequel or at the least, create additional levels or make more content. I would even pay for additional content.
