Fit XR Replacement?

Having been burned from purchasing FitXr - now subscription only, this is one of the top contenders to take its place. Top BIG dev recommendations: 1. Allow us to turn off obstacles. Preferably have choices for those you duck/squat and those to sidestep - independent on/off toggles. 2. Allow setting the height of the squat obstacles, independent from player height which affects all the punching heights. 3. Absolutely improve the 3-dimensionality of the punch-bags - something FitXr got right. 4. Avoid having objects to be shielded so low they're literally near ankle height. 5. Allow choice of glove colours - pallette or RGB picker and to swap. Great potential in this expanding app in a very much growing VR market! Ps. If and when just #1 obstacle toggle is addressed that will seal my purchase - currently the only deal-breaker. EDIT: From reviews, apparently #1 & swapping #5 is done but not in the demo??! If so, you're losing customers by not showing that or even indicating those are there when you upgrade.

This is great!

Beat Saber meets Fitness Training. The demo offers enough to make your mind about it (except a tutorial, or I didn't see it. I think it would be good). More squats than other games of the genre so it's a plus. Music is okay and the concept is awesome. Demo features 180° range of motion and various intensities. You'll definitely sweat and have fun for a while just with the free version. Will definitely buy.

Could be a good replacement...

...for another certain boxing related game. However, I found in the demo that many of my hits (especially for slicing spheres) were not registered. I don't know if it's because I missed or because hit detection failed. I expect a combination of both. I like that Skulls can be turned off, but could we also turn off the obstacles? I have a small play space and cannot dodge them. I also cannot squat so easily due to age. At the very least will the full game have an option to disable squatting obstacles? If the full game is regular updated to fix bugs, etc., and could add in some more accessibility options, I'll buy this as soon as I can next month.

Better than FitXR but with some flaws

I use FitXR and tried Supernatural and I prefer X-Booster for a couple reasons. 1) The variety of moves. In addition to the standard boxing moves you also have the sword and shield play of Beat Saber. 2) You can work out with your own songs and they work great with perfect timing to the moves. However, I am experiencing two issues: 1) Some of my moves are not registered even though I swing in time. 2) Sometimes when the targets came at me from the side, they are outside my guardian and I an unable to hit them without risking literally hitting a wall. I am on the fence about upgrading to the paid version. If they are able to fix these issues, or if they don't bother you, I would recommend this over FitXR, Supernatural, and Beat Saber.

RIP FitXR, Long Live X-BOOSTER!!!

I'm another one who's come over to the absolutely excellent X-BOOSTER from FitXR after that was destroyed by the recent updates. Having read through some of the reviews here I've seen pretty much everything has been covered but perhaps it's not been made clear enough that you can remove all of the extras and just get a really excellent flowing boxercise routine easily setup. I popped the MP3s for my favourite Drum and Bass album onto my Quest in the "Music" folder via SideQuest. Then in X-BOOSTER I went to Program and under that I edited the Alpha program and added all my tracks (after very quickly composing them the way I wanted them). Then I switched off the elevator and the skulls in the options. Now I have an excellent 45 minute workout that I can do on a daily basis. The fact that it's working out to music that I love will keep me coming back as I always felt forced when using the rubbish music that you usually get on these kinds of apps. I can create various different workouts/programs all using my favourite music. Amazing! This game needs a Discord and masses of promotion on Reddit/YouTube etc right now as we need to get the word out on how good it is. It's what BOXVR could and should have been. The addition of object density control would make it absolute heaven as someone else has mentioned.
