Used to Love, No Longer Like

I've been a member since 2022. I've completed 1,038 sessions and accumulated 406.74K points. I played a lot more during the years 2022-2024. It used to be the workouts felt curated for you from the trainers and choreographers to get a good workout in. The movements felt natural and made sense. This wasn't a rhythm game, it was a workout app. But in 2024, the direction changed to be more like a rhythm game. The movements feel less natural. I have to go back to workouts from 2021-2023 to find anything I enjoy doing. I've tried the multi intensity workouts, but their lows don't feel right compared to the lows of the past. I don't like the super speed. I miss when the newly released workouts were ones that challenged you, but still felt possible. This could be due to my own limitations but regardless, I wanted to update my review before my subscription ends. It was fun.

Middle age slump

Long long ago in my 20’s and 30’s I was fit. I worked out and was very active. Then the dreaded 40’s and 50’s came along and I had no energy and my body ballooned. My sister convinced me by bringing over her oculus and had me try SN, and after 10 mins on low level I was spent. Long story short, I kept at it and now after 9 months of working out an hour a day, and I’m feeling and looking so much better. The reason for this , is because it’s fun. Ive lost weight and have gained purpose and maintained muscle . The beauty of the SN is that anyone can do it!

App isn't very intuitive for new users

Love the app. At first I didn't feel like I was getting a workout. Then after some digging I found the Getting Started program. It wasn't until I did this that I started feeling a burn in my muscles. My biggest complaint is, why isn't the Getting Started program more front and center? Seriously, if an user creates a new account, the first thing the app should do is prompt the user to calibrate the triangles. Next it should prompt the user to go straight to the Getting Started program. A suggestion would be to give the user a prompt saying "Looks like you're new here. Would you like to check out the Getting Started program?".

Okay until it isn't.

Reviews make it seem like something new and exciting. It isn't. It's another punch stuff to music game, but with the twist of charging you monthly. Whatever, it's fine. Let's move past it because it l et's you attach your fitness watch to include biometrics. Sounds great. Turns out, you need another app. And by the way, you can't just attach your watch directly to it. You're going to need to attach your watch to your phone and that to your quest and if the creek don't rise you just might get some metrics attached... But probably not. That plus the way too long unskippable briefings on how to do basic things make this an app to skip. Stick with the other punch stuff to music games and you'll get the same workout with way less hassle.

Amazing app! So sad its abandoned

Best fitness app in my opinion. The coaches and the flow of the workouts are simply perfect. It just doesn't make sense that they are still charging the same monthly subscription fees knowing that no new content will be released...
